Daily Iowan Television was the beginning of my journalist days in college. The program is fully independent of the University of Iowa and completely run by student journalists. I began my time with Daily Iowan TV during the summer of 2015 as a reporter. I learned so many valuable lessons that made me a better journalist. I developed great friendships with fellow staff members. Eventually I grew an interest in the producing side of television journalism and made the switch to behind the scenes. I became a producer in 2016, and the following semester I worked as the Assistant News Director. All throughout my time working with Daily Iowan TV, I worked as an anchor as well.
